Metabase

Using Metabase for School Data Analysis

In modern education, data plays a key role in improving teaching, tracking student progress, and making informed decisions. In our educational VPS platform, we use Metabase through data.vertedor.com to bring together information from different systems and turn it into clear, useful insights.

Metabase is an open-source business intelligence tool that allows users to explore data, build dashboards, and visualize information without needing advanced technical skills. It connects directly to databases and can combine data from multiple sources such as ManageBac, Moodle, and attendance records, giving a more complete picture of what is happening in the school.

This allows us to track student performance across subjects, monitor engagement with activities and platforms, and identify patterns such as students who may need extra support. Teachers can quickly see assignment completion, participation in coding tasks, and overall progress without manually compiling data.

We also use Metabase to understand how our platform is being used. By analyzing logins, tool usage, and peak activity times, we can improve both the learning experience and the technical performance of the system.

One of the biggest advantages is accessibility. Teachers can create their own questions and dashboards using a simple interface, making data analysis part of everyday teaching rather than a technical task handled only by administrators.

By integrating Metabase into our VPS platform, we are making data more meaningful and actionable, helping us support students more effectively and continue improving our educational environment.
